The editorial team of platform pudding is dedicated to fostering a lively, generous atmosphere for design criticism. We actively seek collaborators, writers, and critics who wish to publish their work and contribute to an evolving conversation – particularly written reflections that invite dialogue, spark sharp thinking, and share curiosity about the role of design and material objects in our everyday environments. While our printed issues revolve around a central theme – for which we are open to suggestions – we warmly welcome proposals for articles beyond it and remain open to diverse contributions for online publication throughout the year.

Submitting an article

The editorial team of platform pudding is dedicated to fostering a lively, generous atmosphere for design criticism. We actively seek collaborators, writers, and critics who wish to publish their work and contribute to an evolving conversation – particularly written reflections that invite dialogue, spark sharp thinking, and share curiosity about the role of design and material objects in our everyday environments. While our printed issues revolve around a central theme – for which we are open to suggestions – we warmly welcome proposals for articles beyond it and remain open to diverse contributions for online publication throughout the year. We welcome the submission of previously published articles, provided that the author holds the necessary copyright and has secured all required permissions for republication. Detailed author guidelines can be found in the submission guidelines.

A note on translations

Due to limited resources, translations are carried out by the editors and authors with assistance of translation software and limited use of generative artificial intelligence. While the texts may contain minor errors or subtle differences in nuances, we have endeavoured to the best of our abilities to make the text available to the broad audience of the international community of people interested in design and material culture, as much as it contributes to Dutch writings on design. The editorial layout aims to emphasize the original language of the article.

Therefore we welcome all sorts of support: which may come in may forms such as donations to cover expenses or material contributions to the production of forthcoming issues, offering venues for events or the distribution of stock, or support in the editing and designing of issues.
